As of now there is no announcement for a season 2 but we have an idea of what it will be like based on the manga. We already know that the movie will be before season 2 since it was already announced. Based on what happened in the manga we already know what might happen. In the Mugen Train Arc Tanjiro, Inosuke, Zenitsu, Nezuko, and Rengoku will be fighting a demon named Akaza. Akaza is the 3rd Upper Moon or the third strongest of the 12 demon moons. In the this arc it is going to be on a train as it says in the name of the arc. I will skip most of it and go to the final battle. In the final battle its Rengoku and Tanjiro vs Akaza. Akaza injures Tanjiro to the point where he can’t move at all. After that its Akaza and Rengou. Rengoku is injured having one eyed closed and his head bleeding. Akaza punches a hole into Rengoku and Rengoku trys to keep him stuck so Akaza will burn in the sun. Akaza pulls off his own arms so that hcan run away. Rengoku then starts to die. Thats basically how the final batte played out.
Season 2 of Demon Slayer will have two Hashira deaths. One is Rengoku and two is Shinobu. Shinobu dyed fighting the upper moon 2. It is most likely that these deaths will be in season 2 of Demon Slayer and the movie.
